QuadAxis Pro®
4-way pallet shuttle that moves across lanes, between aisles, and to every level of the rack. Reaches any pallet position in a deep-lane, high-level, high-density structure — engineered for food and beverage, 3PL, and manufacturing.
Storage in three dimensions
The Spacemaker QuadAxis Pro is the evolution of our two-way pallet shuttle platform — a fully automated shuttle that travels across lanes, between aisles, and to any level of a multi-story rack. Controlled by a Warehouse Execution System, it keeps forklifts and personnel out of the structure and turns deep-lane, high-level racking into true three-dimensional storage. Scale by adding shuttles and chargers without reconfiguring the rack.
Travels both travel lanes and cross-travel lanes, with elevator access to every rack level. One shuttle covers the full storage volume — not just a single aisle.
Servo-motor lift and traction with regenerative braking. Fewer moving parts to service and consistent performance across the full temperature range.
Auto-docks at in-rack charging stations during idle moments. A low-battery fail-safe routes the unit to the nearest charger before it ever runs out mid-lane.
Recovers kinetic energy on deceleration and routes it back to the battery. Extended runtime per charge and lower lifetime energy draw.
Built to perform
Every QuadAxis Pro is built in-house to Spacemaker’s engineering standards. Custom payload, lane depth, and rack-height variants available on request.
Custom payload, lane depth, rack height, and temperature variants available. Full structural and electrical load documentation provided per project.

Get a consultationWhere QuadAxis Pro works
Installed in multi-level, high-density warehouses across North America and Europe. Drops into existing 4-way shuttle rack systems, or designed into new high-density builds from the ground up.
Multi-level high-density storage
Replaces push-back, drive-through, and block-stack systems with recoverable, automation-grade 2D storage — more SKUs, less product damage, minimized human error.
Food & beverage distribution
Bulk inventory buffering for high-volume food manufacturers — dairy, beverage, protein, and packaged goods. Deep lanes plus multi-level storage in one footprint.
Manufacturing & 3PL
High-throughput raw-material and finished-goods staging adjacent to production lines and dispatch. WES-driven for unattended operation.
Retrofit & new builds
Drop-in for existing 4-way shuttle rack systems, or engineered into new multi-level high-density warehouse builds from day one.

Part of the
Spacemaker stack
QuadAxis Pro integrates natively with the rest of our hardware and software — the shuttle, the network, the WES, and the WMS integration layer are all engineered by one team.
Which means you get one support contract, one roadmap, and one engineer to call when something needs to change.
Multi Gateway Mesh®
Fleet networking across the whole facility. No dropped commands at range, no line-of-sight problems between aisles or rack levels.
Spacemaker WMS integrations
Runs on Spacemaker’s Warehouse Execution System with REST and message-queue links into major WMS platforms for real-time inventory visibility. FIFO, LIFO, Stock Count, and Pallet Shuffle map directly to WMS tasks.
Travel + cross-travel rack systems
Designed around travel-lane and cross-travel-lane rack geometry, with in-rack charging stations integrated into the structure. Works in new builds or compatible retrofits.
Conveyors, AGCs, reach trucks
Interfaces directly with conveyor lines, automated guided conveyors, and existing material-handling fleets for clean hand-offs between automation layers.
Common questions about QuadAxis Pro pallet shuttles
How is QuadAxis Pro different from DualAxis Pro?
DualAxis Pro is a 2-way shuttle — it runs linearly along a single lane. QuadAxis Pro moves in 2D across travel lanes and cross-travel lanes, and an integrated elevator lifts it to any level of a multi-story rack. One QuadAxis can cover the full storage volume that a fleet of DualAxis units would divide up.
How deep and how tall can the system go?
Typical installations run around 50 pallet positions deep and span multiple rack levels. Practical limits depend on throughput targets, battery runtime, and rack geometry — we size each deployment against your project requirements.
What rack systems are supported?
QuadAxis Pro is designed around travel-lane and cross-travel-lane rack geometry with integrated in-rack charging stations. We review your rack drawings before quoting to confirm compatibility, whether you’re building new or adapting existing structure.
Does it work in freezers?
QuadAxis Pro is rated down to -13°F (-25°C) — suited to chilled and cool-chain environments. For true blast-freezer applications (to -40°F / -40°C), we recommend the DualAxis Pro, which is engineered for below-freezing operation.
How does charging work?
LiFePO₄ batteries charge automatically at in-rack stations during idle periods — no dedicated charging downtime. A low-battery fail-safe routes the shuttle to the nearest charger before it depletes, so units don’t stall mid-lane.
What controls the shuttle?
A Warehouse Execution System drives storage, retrieval, and stock-count operations. The WES integrates into your WMS via REST or message-queue interfaces, with bi-directional RF controllers for operator-level tasks and supervisory visibility.
Is it built in the USA?
Yes. QuadAxis Pro is engineered and assembled at Spacemaker in Ocoee, Florida, with UK support through our European Innovation Centre in Nuneaton. North American service, parts, and support operate on US business hours; UK customers are supported locally.
What’s the lead time?
Lead times vary with system size and level count. Standard configurations typically run 12–16 weeks from signed order; multi-level or custom-depth systems may extend beyond that. We confirm timelines during consultation.
